Pine Grove Corridor Upgrades Project: Neighborhood Update

We want to share an update on the Pine Grove Upgrades Project, which is moving steadily toward construction.

While you may not have seen visible activity just yet, nearly 50% of construction projects like this are completed behind the scenes—through surveying, engineering, design, and planning—before the first shovel hits the ground. Pine Grove is no exception.

This is a high-priority project for Roswell, approved by voters through the TSPLOST (Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) referendum. The goal is to make our neighborhoods safer and more walkable for everyone.

    Where We Are Now:

Over the past year, the City and our consultants have been hard at work preparing the site for construction. Some key milestones include:

    • Concept Development Started: June 2023
    • Public Information Open House: July 2024 at Chickering Neighborhood Clubhouse
    • Concept Approved by Mayor & Council: October 2024
    • Survey Work Completed: Early 2025
    • Design Kickoff with Consultants: January 2025
    • Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) & Archaeology at Cemetery: Completed June 2025
    • 60% Design Plans Due: By August 29, 2025
    • Right-of-Way Plans Due: By November 14, 2025
    • Anticipated Construction to begin: 1st Quarter of 2026

    What’s Next:

We are entering the right-of-way acquisition phase, which will be followed by the final design phase and utility coordination. Once those steps are complete, you’ll start seeing visible construction activity in your area.

Thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to bring this important improvement to your neighborhood.

Pine Grove Road Corridor to Get Upgrades

Residents along Pine Grove Road saw newly-created plans July 16 for their road’s future–traffic-calming, multi-use trails, and intersection improvements.

The City of Roswell is considering various projects to improve connectivity and walkability along the Pine Grove corridor. Proposed enhancements include sidewalks, multi-use trails, and intersection improvements stretching from Magnolia Street to the Cobb County line.

The Pine Grove Road Corridor Improvements are part of the City of Roswell’s TSPLOST 2 projects. TSPLOST 2 is the second round of the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, a ¾-of-one-penny sales tax approved by Fulton County voters (excluding the City of Atlanta) in November 2021, dedicated exclusively to transportation projects. Public Meeting and Proposals

A public information meeting was held on July 16 to offer residents an opportunity to learn about and provide feedback on upcoming improvements designed to enhance safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. Between 75-100 residents turned out.
