As part of the City’s ongoing downtown parking pilot program, Roswell has established an initial parking rate of $2 per hour up to six hours, with a daily maximum of $16 for City-managed, on-street locations in the downtown area. This rate goes into affect on May 15, 2026.

Running through December 31, 2026, the pilot program is designed to help the City gather real data on parking demand and usage patterns. This information will inform longer-term decisions that work for both residents and businesses.

Paid, on-street parking is active at the following locations:

    • Canton Street between Magnolia Street and Norcross Street
    • Elizabeth Way between Canton Street and Alpharetta Highway
    • East Alley between Canton Street and Norcross Street
    • East Alley Parking Lot

The City will communicate any future rate changes in advance.

No-Charge Parking at Downtown Deck During Green Street Construction

Roswell’s new downtown parking deck opened to the public on May 4, 2026, adding 394 spaces to support downtown access. Also beginning May 4, the City launched construction on the Green Street Activation Plan, a project that will convert Green Street to a one-way, southbound road and add a brick-paved multi-use trail, new lighting, landscaping, and other improvements to support connectivity and safety near the deck. The project requires a closure of Green Street from Cherry Way to Alpharetta Street (Hwy. 9) for approximately six months. Green Street from Woodstock Road to Cherry Way will remain open one-way southbound.

To help maintain access to downtown during construction, the City is offering parking at no charge in the downtown deck for the duration of the closure. The City will continue collecting usage data from the parking system throughout this time as part of the broader Parking Pilot Program.
